Elois Suites sit in the beating heart of Rethimno, in the Old Town with its typical Venetian and Turkish architecture. Surrounded by countless cafes, bars, restaurants and shops, Elois Suites have the perfect setting to experience the extraordinary old town’s charm and history.

We invite you to live and love Rethimno as much as we do!

Stay

One of Elois Suites greatest assets is its location. Built around 1950 as a family house, it has the privilege of being located at the heart of Rethimno facing both the waterfront and the agora (the commercial street of the Old Town) as most of the buildings in the area, just at the boarder of the old and the new town.

Elpis, Olga and Ioulia S (here what ELOIS is…), mother and daughters, revived the house, when renovated, blending the Venetian and Turkish architecture with contemporary elements, to reflect the soul of Rethimno. Elois Suites today consists of 3 apartments sharing a common entrance.

With warm colors, natural materials, wood and stone, consistent with the architecture of the Old Town, each suite has its own character with its unique elements and spaces, offering amenities for the needs of our modern guests.

Experience Rethimno

Rethimno: a vibrant and charming old town with a long sandy beach, all in one! Explore one of the best preserved medieval cities in Greece and where venetian fortification mingles with orthodox and catholic churches, Islamic mosques, arches and cobbled paths, reminiscence of the town’s turbulent, yet glorious history. Walk across the waterfront just in front of Elois Suites or the streets just behind to visit the old town, the venetian harbor with the lighthouse, the venetian fortezza (the fortress), the Loggia and the archaeological museum, the main minaret (Neratze mosque). You cant miss the Rimondi fountain and Souliou Street.

If you visit Rethimno in late February, early March, you’ll be surprised to enjoy the towns biggest fest, the carnival parade!

Outside Rethimno: Visit two of the major monasteries of Crete, the Monastery of Arcadi and Preveli. Some km after Arkadi monastery is Eleftherna, the most important archaeological site in Rethimno and one of the most interesting current excavations. Continuing form Eleftherna, don’t miss a stop at Margarites, a typical Cretan villange with a long tradition in hand-made potery.
